What are we looking for
We are looking for a senior finance and compliance professional to lead the finance and compliance function at Neem. The individual will be responsible for driving financial strategy, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. The individual will oversee finance, legal, compliance, and reconciliation functions, ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic risk management. This role requires a proactive leader who can align financial operations with business objectives, maintain regulatory excellence, and support high-impact decision-making.
Your responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy, aligning it with the company’s growth objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Optimize capital structure, cash flow, and liquidity management to support long-term financial health.
- Provide strategic insights to the Founders, leadership team and the Neem Board on financial risks, opportunities, and performance.
- Financial Control, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS, SECP regulations, and local tax laws.
- Lead statutory reporting, financial audits, and tax filings, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Implement internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Monitor regulatory changes and proactively adapt financial policies and procedures.
- Revenue Assurance, Reconciliation & Risk Management
- Lead the reconciliation and settlement team and oversee end-to-end reconciliation across multiple payment channels (wallets, banks, cards, aggregators).
- Enforce risk mitigation strategies, including fraud prevention and credit risk management.
- Drive financial controls to ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely collections.
- Procurement & Operational Finance
- Support in procurement, including vendor negotiations, contract management, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage operational finance including payroll, reimbursements and taxes.
- Oversee tax filings (income tax, sales tax, withholding tax) and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Corporate Governance, Legal & Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure corporate governance best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee legal matters, including contract management, regulatory filings, and risk assessments.
- Stakeholder Management & Strategic Decision Support
- Provide financial insights, reports and results to founders, investors and leadership team to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain strong working relationships with auditors, banks, tax advisors, legal partners, and regulators.
You should apply if
- You have at least a bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and are CA, ACCA, or CPA qualified.
- You bring at least 7 years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally in financial services.
- You have a strong grasp of IFRS, Pakistani financial laws, NBFC regulations, and risk management.
- You excel in financial modelling, forecasting, and fundraising (experience with VCs, investment, or commercial banks is a plus).
- You are a collaborative leader, skilled in stakeholder management, and can communicate financial insights effectively.
- You are proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive financial decision-making.
